Overview

The Page content type is used most frequently on our website. It is suited for use with landing pages and general content as it allows for flexibility through the use of different components

Field Details

1.  General

  • Title: The name of the page.

  • Short Description: A short description of the page that is displayed by search engines, as well as page listings.

  • Additional Settings and Metadata: 
    These are less frequently edited settings and options:
    • SEO Title
      The SEO Title field is used as part of the URL path for the page. See Titles and Paths in Drupal documentation for more details on how this field works.

    • Short Title
      Optional, concise title for space-limited applications where needed.

    • Social Image
      Optional: specify the image to be used when sharing this content on social media.

    • Topics
      Optional: Specify the related topics.

    • Department
      Optional: Specify the related Department. Note: Any associations of pages to Departments are not currently utilized on the website.


2.  Header Content

  • General Tab
  • Optional Eyebrow: Text above the page header title, typically used to identify the section a page resides in. When the field is left blank (most common), the eyebrow populates with the title of the page above it in the menu.

  • Page Header Title: Title as displayed on the page, may be the same or different than the titles above.

  • ‌Description: Short, descriptive text below the page header title in the header.

  • Height: Set the height of the header. Low is most common.



3.  Main Content Area Tab

The Main content area pre-adds the Text component, which can be removed if not needed. For additional components, click the ADD COMPONENT button to see available options. The page content type allows for the most number of component options, such as: Text, 50-50 Contained, Accordion, etc.:


Right Column Tab

Optional container for related content. Its use case is very specific and is therefore used very infrequently.


4.  Save

Learn how to preview your work in Drupal and about the multiple content moderation workflow states available. Select the workflow state that is appropriate and Save.
