This month, the admin theme moved to Claro, a core Drupal administration theme. Editing screens look different, but everyday tasks work the same way.
Administration screens: new Claro theme
The site’s administration theme changed from the legacy Thunder Admin theme to Claro, a theme built and backed by Drupal. It gives the editing side of the site a cleaner, more modern, and more accessible design. Moving away from our legacy admin theme also removes blocking dependencies as we prepare for the Drupal 11 update in the next few weeks.
What this means for editors:
- Edit forms, content lists, and other admin pages have updated colors, fonts, spacing, and buttons.
- Creating, editing, and publishing content work the way they always have.
- A few buttons, links, or menu items may have moved slightly. If something seems to be missing, take a quick look around the page first.
- The public website hasn’t changed. Visitors won’t see any difference.
Security & Infrastructure
- FullCalendar View updated to 5.3.0 and Rabbit Hole updated to 1.3.0 to address Drupal security advisories.
- CAPTCHA (form spam protection) and Stage File Proxy (developer tooling) also received version bumps.
Editors don’t need to do anything. If you notice changes in calendars, form spam protection, or how pages open, report them to the Web Team.
