October brought a refreshed display for headline and article views, more reliable links and images in emails built with Email Maker, and a fix for slow or failing revision comparisons. The rest was security work: two rounds of updates, including Drupal core and Webform.
Headline and article listings: refreshed design
Headline and article listings were reworked to be easier to scan and more accessible.
- Expanded display of an article's short description.
- NOTE: Please ensure articles have a strong short description, since it now appears in more places.
- Topic labels removed from most headline lists to streamline presentation
Faculty directory display
• The faculty directory now shows entries in multiples of four to better align with the grid view.
Bug Fixes
Email Maker
Links and images written in the text editor now use site-relative addresses in Email Maker output. Links and images in the header and component text of Email Maker emails now get full web addresses (https://publichealth.jhu.edu/…). This includes responsive images.
Revisions Comparisons
After a recent Diff module update, comparing revisions on long or component-heavy pages could be very slow or time out. Revision comparisons load reliably again.
External Authors for Group Publications
Fixed an issue where review rules interfered with publishing new External Authors for group publications.
Security & Infrastructure
• Drupal core updated twice, to 10.6.17 and then 10.6.19, to address several Drupal security advisories.
• Webform updated to 6.3.1, covering a batch of Webform security advisories.
• The SAML login module (miniOrange) pinned to version 3.2.0 to address its security advisories.
• Other security updates: Blazy (images), Entity API, Gin (admin theme), Leaflet (maps), Easy Breadcrumb, and developer tooling.
