Common Reasons a Profile May Be Missing

If your faculty profile isn’t visible on PublicHealth.JHU.edu, it’s usually due to one of the following:

  • No active FIS entry: Your profile requires an active record in the Faculty Information System (FIS). If your FIS entry is inactive or hasn’t been created, your profile won’t appear on the site.
  • Profile is Archived: The profile may exist in the Drupal CMS (PublicHealth.JHU.edu), but is still set to “Archived” status. Only published profiles are visible to the public.
  • JHED ID not linked: Your JHED account may not be correctly connected to your faculty profile. This can prevent both login and access.
  • Recent appointment or affiliation change: Newly appointed faculty or those with updated affiliations may experience a delay while records are processed across systems.

If your profile is not appearing on the site, contact Isis Conroy-Tabrizi (itabriz1@jhu.edu) in the Office of Academic Affairs. Include your name, department, and a brief description of the issue. She can confirm whether your FIS record is active and your profile has been properly set up.

Note
Profiles on PublicHealth.JHU.edu depend on data managed by the Office of Academic Affairs and FIS. When an appointment ends or lapses, it is automatically archived on PublicHealth.JHU.edu meaning it is not visible to the public.

If a faculty appointment is under review or awaiting an update and there is a timely need to ensure the profile remains available (for example, a pending publication or grant application), please contact Isis Conroy-Tabrizi (itabriz1@jhu.edu). She can work with you to update records in FIS to ensure they are available, if at all possible.
