Category Updates

We have simplified and unified the event category options, focusing on event type rather than a combination of elements. Going forward, there are three options available. These categories have been renamed as follows:

  • Alumni, Networking and Social → Networking or Social
  • Career and Professional Support → Career Support or Training
  • Public-Facing Webinars and Symposiums → Lecture or Panel


These categories have been retired and can no longer be selected:

  • Dean’s Office
  • Department and Center Event
  • Student Groups
    Existing events using retired categories will continue to display them. However, these options will no longer be available for selection.

Additionally, if editing an event with a retired category, editors must update the category to a currently supported option before changes can be saved.

Event Hosting Information

We now display the hosting information along with contact details when available. To add a host organization, be sure to include the department or office within the event details. Centers will only see this when co-hosting with another group since the entire event is managed within the center’s site.

Other Updates

Referenced By…

It is now possible to identify where a piece of content has been embedded into another as a referenced entity or shared component. To check if or where your content has been embedded or referenced, click the “Referenced by” tab. (Note that this only shows where content has been embedded into the page; it does not include basic links to the page.)

Automated Published Date

If left blank, the “Published Date” field will automatically set itself to the date an article is published. It can be overridden if desired, but it will default to the current date when published otherwise.

 

Minor Bug Fixes and Updates

  • Profile list spacing has been corrected so that they do not bump against the preceding elements.
  • Data on charts has been restyled for better readability.
  • The Tile Grid component now supports optional titles, descriptions, and buttons.
  • Static Grid border bug that prevents the correct color border from displaying in some cases.
  • Form styling bug for email field and confirmation corrected.
  • Corrected an issue where the topic header layout presented inconsistent styling and layout in some cases.
  • Updates to the Funding for Students search functions and detail displays
