FAQs

Why am I seeing old content here?

Remember that the My Content view lists all content you've ever worked on or saved a revision of. It is sorted by how recently they were modified. It also includes content that was altered by other people after you. For example, a node you edited six months ago may appear at the top of the list if it was edited yesterday by a colleague on your team.

This feature may prove less valuable for managerial users who cover many different areas and sites, such as Site Editors and Managers.

What's the difference between "Revision Status" and "Published Status" in the table view?

  • Revision Status indicates the current workflow state. It can help clarify where a piece of content is within the editorial workflow process, i.e., Draft, In Review, Scheduled/Approved, Archived, etc.

  • Published Status indicates if a piece of content is publically available. It can only be "Published" or "Unpublished" (that is publicly visible or not).

    Some examples:
    • A piece of content with a Draft Revision status (workflow) and is Unpublished in published status is NOT visible to the general public.
    • A piece of content in Draft Revision status (workflow) and as Published in published status indicates that a version of the content is publicly visible, but NOT the most recent revision.

Be sure to review our article on Content Moderation States if you're unfamiliar with the editorial workflow.
